Founded and led by Jessica Thomas, a seasoned legal document preparer and tax professional, her practice is built on integrity, accuracy, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate important life and financial matters with confidence.
Jessica brings nearly two decades of experience in tax preparation, legal document drafting, and family‑law–related services. Since 2016, she has served the community as the Owner and Lead Preparer at First Step Doc Prep and Taxes, where she assists clients with family law documents—including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings—ensuring every document is prepared correctly and with care.
She is an Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer (AZCLDP), originally certified in 2016, and holds an Associate’s Degree in Legal Studies.
Jessica’s experience also includes serving as a Board Member for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health, demonstrating her dedication to public service and ethical standards.
